Dezeen has announced the architecture shortlist for this year’s Dezeen Awards, which includes buildings by Schemata Architects, Urbanus, Studio Gang, Stanton Williams and Grimshaw.
The 82 shortlisted projects, which are in the running for awards in 15 different architecture project categories, are by studios located across 32 different countries including Bangladesh, Rwanda, Turkey, Taiwan, Niger and Mexico.
The top four represented studio countries are the United Kingdom with 10 shortlisted entries followed by USA with nine and China and Australia that both have seven.

The shortlist also features a renovated bookstore in China, a development with undulated green roofs in Tokyo and a treetop walkway built from pinewood in Norway.
A collaboration between Holcim and Norman Foster Foundation, which saw firms reveal a concrete-wrapped housing prototype for displaced communities at the Venice Architecture Biennale, is also shortlisted.
