Dezeen Showroom: product design brand Acoufelt has developed an acoustic, grid-like ceiling frame system that presents an unobstructive way to control the noise levels of interior spaces.
Framework Ceiling Frames come in two variations – open and capped – that share a geometric structure and high classification of acoustic performance.
The open version of the system maintains the aesthetic of an uncovered ceiling while facilitating easy integration of ceiling-mounted lighting, services and speakers, while still controlling noise in an efficient way.
Conversely, the capped system creates a more uniform appearance across ceiling scapes, concealing cables and ducts and providing enhanced sound dampening.
All components are made from FilaSorb, Acoufelt’s own signature acoustic felt, which is produced using 40 per cent solar energy and made from 60 per cent recycled PET plastic. They are fully recyclable at the end of their lifespan.
The system comes in 44 colourways and 30 woodgrain prints to fit into a range of interior design schemes.
